FAQ
Lancing Devices

The Accu-Chek Softclix Lancing Device should be used with a Accu-Chek Softclix lancet manufactured by the original manufacturer in order to provide quality assurance.

There may be other lancets available in the market claiming to be suitable for the Accu-Chek Softclix Lancing Device. These lancets are of varying quality and not only increase the pain of blood collection, but also some of them may not fit into the Accu-Chek Softclix Lancing Device appropriately, which may lead to damage of the Lancing Device and therefore are not recommended for use.

Lancets should not be reused! After use, the lancet may cause a wound infection due to bacterial growth. Also, used needles can become less sharp as they wear out, increasing the pain of obtaining blood. Therefore, always discard the lancet after it has been used and replace it with a new lancet for safety and hygiene.

Do not use expired lancets as they may become unsterile and may lead to wound infection.

The lancet should be used with the Lancing Device to control the penetration depth and force of the lancet and to reduce the pain associated with obtaining blood.
