糖尿病患者需要長期控制以下目標 ︰

血糖值 (mmol/L) 理想 普通 欠佳
空腹血糖值 4.0 – 5.5 < 8.0 > 10.0
餐後2小時血糖值 < 7.8 < 10.0 > 12.0
